Tours

The Saint Louis Historical Society offers tours for large groups and schools. The tours are guided by one of our staff, and they will walk you through the Train Depot, Transportation Pavilion, and the Log Cabin. The C&S Train Depot serves as the main museum. The museum features several displays about Saint Louis' history. ​

The Transportation Pavilion was built in 2008 with a grant from the Michigan Department of Transportation. This building features a Republic Truck, Dug-Out Canoe, Fire Hose Wheel, and a Big-Wheel Bike.

The McKim House was donated to the Saint Louis Area Historical Society. This building is mainly used for storage, but will be going under renovation in the next few years.
We are currently accepted donations for renovations of the McKim House.

The Log Cabin was purchased from the Doris Gall estate. This cabin is an example of the early homes in Saint Louis. ​

Meetings

Meetings for the Historical Society happen every fourth Tuesday of the month at 7pm. We have meetings from April to September. Our meetings usually consist of a general meeting and guest speaker. The location of our meetings vary.
